Brief overview
The GVHDNow site was in need of a UX audit and visual design update. The goal was to conduct research, identify areas of improvement within scope, and to provide deliverables that reflect the final solution.

Project duration
3 months

My role & contribution
UX Designer. I worked with our team of visual designers, copywriters, developers, and took part in workshops to help align everyone on the requirements. My contributions also included creating sketches, wireframes, and presenting final UX artifacts internally.

Discovery Phase Summary

Improve overall navigation and way-finding on the site.

Refresh the visual branding and make the site look more cohesive (but don’t change too much!)

Make CTA’s on the site more prominent. Create a user-friendly experience.

Next Steps: UX Workshops

We began to ideate and work closely with the visual design team, along with other departments. The goal was to hash out as many ideas and solutions as possible!

Testing?

Unfortunately, we did not have enough time. We didn’t have the budget to scope for it either.

Proposed Testing Plan:
At the start of this project, there was a great opportunity to conduct semi-structured interviews and surveys in order for us to get quantitative and qualitative data.

A/B testing during the workshop phase would’ve made our decision-making process run a lot smoother.

Resolution, Reflection & Impact

  • The project was still ongoing at the time. Wireframes got passed along to the visual design team. The development team would be moving forward next.

  • Client approval was a success! They loved our work and enjoyed being involved with the process of iterating on our UX deliverables.

  • If I had the opportunity to track metrics post-launch, I would start with implementing usability tests to track user engagement, utilize data analytics tools to observe changes, and send out surveys in order to gather both qualitative and quantitative feedback.

  • As of summer 2025, the site is still live and continues to evolve with our proposed visual brand and navigation updates.
